Post Study Work Permit

Temporary Residence Permit (APS – Autorisation Provisoire de Séjour):

Job Seeker/New Business Creator Visa:

Talent Passport:

This is a long-term residence permit for highly skilled professionals with exceptional qualifications. It is valid for up to 4 years, depending on the employment contract. It is available to those with advanced degrees and specialized skills.

EU Resident Card:

For highly skilled employees, this card allows residence for 1–3 years. Applicants must have at least one year of work experience in France.

PR Option After Study Work Permit

After gaining work experience through post-study work permits, international students can pursue permanent residency in France through the following pathways:

Five-Year Continuous Stay Requirement:

To qualify for permanent residency (Carte de Résident), individuals must have lived in France continuously for at least 5 years, either through study, work, or other legal residence permits. During this period, they must maintain legal status and renew their temporary permits as required.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must demonstrate financial stability, integration into French society, and proficiency in the French language (A2 level or higher). They must also show evidence of employment or self-sufficiency during their stay.

EU Long-Term Residence Permit:

After 5 years of continuous residence, individuals may apply for this permit, which allows them to live and work in any EU country.

Pathway to Citizenship:

After 5 years of residence (or 2 years if they graduated from a French university), individuals may apply for French citizenship. This requires demonstrating cultural integration and language proficiency.
