In the 2023 CHE University Ranking, ISM ranked highly for support at the beginning of studies and graduation rates. ISM is accredited by the Ministry of Science of North Rhine-Westphalia and holds accreditations from FIBAA for its programs. As of 2024, it has also received accreditation from AACSB, making it the only private German university of applied sciences with this recognition.
